Guy Champniss
Guy Champniss is an independent brand strategy and communications consultant. Guy focuses on strategy development in the context of pro-social consumer behaviour, sustainability and brand communities.
Since 2007, Guy has worked with Havas and many of its clients on these issues, leading to the creation of the Sustainable Futures research initiative with Havas Media, in 2009.
Guy represents Havas within the WBCSD and is part of theSustainable Consumption research initiative, as well as an advisor to a number of start-up pro-social consumer commercial initiatives in the UK and US.
Guy holds an MBA from IE (Madrid), has completed post-graduate programmes with Stanford Graduate School of Business (US) and the University of Cambridge (UK), and is currently undertaking doctoral research with Cranfield School of Management (UK) around consumer behaviour within brand communities.
Guy regularly speaks at and contributes to international events on the future of branding and sustainability – including those run by the IHT, NYT, Sustainable Life Media and the World Retail Congress – and has contributed to the FT, NYT, El Pais, Campaign, AdMap, M&M and AdAge. Guy has also contributed to events at business schools including IESE, IE, ESADE, LBS and Ashridge.
Guy is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
When not doing the above, Guy lives in Kew, West London, with his wife, Ness, son Frederick, and daughter, Leafy, where they marvel daily at the glory of Kew Gardens and lament the existence of Heathrow.
